Happy New Year!
This past weekend I went to the beach with my boyfriend and my two dogs. And most importantly, I left my computer at home. Thank goodness we had no internet connection! But now I’m back, and its time to get back to reality and back to work. To be honest, I’m glad that the holidays are over.
Don’t get me wrong — I love the holidays. I start playing Christmas music the day after Thanksgiving (the day after Halloween, really, but only in my car). I drink eggnog and champagne. I hug and kiss people even when there is no mistletoe. You get the idea. But its nice to be back behind my desk, and facing a new year.
The nice thing for me about a new year is the sense of possibility. Anything can happen. This year, more than most, I really feel the excitement of what lays before me. For the past few months, Peter and I have been working very hard creating a plan for QuikHelp in 2011. We’ve got great new products (ask me about trusts!), great new programs (check out our series of presentations at Carlota’s restaurant), and a whole lot of energy.
2011 should be a big year for us here at QuikHelp, and that is simultaneously thrilling and terrifying. I am going to spend many late nights making sure the translations, divorces, bankruptcies, wills, etc, are all perfect. I’ll probably age five years. But the more business we do, the more I’ll know that we are fulfilling our goal of giving you access to the legal system — access that you otherwise probably wouldn’t have.
I know 2011 is going to be a great year for me. I hope its a great year for you too.
Okay, let’s do this.

2011 is going to be big! I can’t feel it.
I mean I “can” feel it. Oops.
